Desirable Dairy Profile

  1. A history of using a lagoon storage for manure.​​

    • Free stall barns/parlors/aprons that are flushed, scraped or vacuumed to a lagoon​

  2. Minimum number of Wet Cow Equivalents (one WCE is a lactating Holstein cow. Dry cows and heifers are fractional WCEs.)​​

    • Free stall with solids as bedding - 3,000 WCE

    • Free stall with sand as bedding - 3,500 WCE

    • Vacuumed aprons with manure deposited into a lagoon - 6,200 WCE

  3. Six to ten acres of land to house the digester, gas upgrade system and other facilities

  4. Provide 24/7 access to the digester

  5. Be in proximity to a natural gas pipeline or injection point
